Ocusell
Ocusell is a real estate start up based in Cincinnati, Ohio with the vision to make real estate software that is an easy and positive experience for realtors and brokers. I worked with the Ocusell team to design and build the dashboard for their new product: a real estate listing service where realtors and brokers can upload & maintain listings. There were many challenges in this project: Integrating MLS data, managing hundreds of conditional user input fields, and providing the best user experience for users.
We conducted a full UX research project by understanding the software users were currently using, researching competitors, understanding the data structure, performing user interviews, moderated & unmoderated usability testing, focus groups, and many design iterations.
Research
One of the main challenges was integrating MLS data and providing a seamless user experience. We started by looking at the MLS forms that realtors were currently using.
These forms used old code, required the user to fill in many required fields, and had many outdated questions that users had to work around.
Iterations
We iterated on the design many times as we conducted more user interviews and usability tests.
